The program reviewed the outlook for the automotive sector in 2026. It was emphasized that the contraction seen in the first quarter of the year aligns with expectations, while the demand for mobility in Turkey remains strong. It was noted that with the deferred demand reactivating in the second half of the year, a more balanced market structure is expected.
Forecasts shared indicated the automotive market would reach 1.2 million units throughout the year, and the second-hand market would exceed 10 million units. Vehicle ownership in Turkey continues to have growth potential; accordingly, demand for mobility keeps rising, with strong demand dynamics especially in rental and second-hand segments.
The program also discussed Otokoç Automotive’s sustainability and transformation initiatives. Efforts to convert the vehicle fleet into a greener structure through collaboration with IFC are being pursued with determination.
